About Zillion Pulse

Updated on

Zillion Pulse is an independent buying-guide site about replacement car batteries for cars, trucks and SUVs.

We write for drivers whose battery is slow to crank, dead in the driveway or simply getting old. Our goal is to help you find a battery that fits the tray, connects the right way and has enough power for your climate.

What we cover

Our guides cover car batteries from brands like ACDelco, Optima, Interstate, Weize, Mighty Max and Goodyear. We sort them by group size, cranking power, battery type and the vehicles they suit.

We also explain the terms that trip up most shoppers. That means group sizes, cold cranking amps, reserve capacity, AGM versus flooded batteries and date codes.

How we work

We read the specs, the size and terminal details and the maker's own information for every battery we cover. We also look at what owners often report after a winter or two.

Then we turn it into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains the steps.

What we are not

We don't make or sell batteries, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Zillion Pulse isn't affiliated with ACDelco, Optima, Interstate or any other maker.

We don't claim to have tested every battery in a car of our own. When we pick one, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.

We don't promise that a battery fits a certain vehicle. Fit changes with the year, engine and trim, so always check your owner's manual or the store's fit tool before you buy.

How the site is paid for

Some links here go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That never decides which batteries we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
